Heungkuk Life Insurance, a women’s professional volleyball team, has recruited two foreign coaching staff to help coach Abondanza. Coach Farouk Perey and trainer Ivan Bragagni. Coach Ferrey is also the husband of “former V-League” Helen Russo.
Heungkuk Life Insurance completed the composition of the coaching staff ahead of the 2023-24 season. The existing coaching staff will welcome the new season with Abondanza, who took over the baton in the second half of last season. Following head coach Kim Dae-gyeong, new coaches Perrey and Trainer Bragagni from Turkiye and Italy will join.
An official from Heungkuk Life Insurance said, “All contracts have been completed. Trainer Bragagni joined after the season and has already trained together once. Coach Ferrey is scheduled to return to Korea in June.”
Coach Ferrey, born in 1993, is Rousseau’s husband. Rousseau, from Belgium, played an active role as a foreign player at Hyundai E&C in the 2020-21 season. His husband came as a coach to the Korean league where his wife played. Perey has been coaching at Turkiye Fenerbahce since 2014. Afterwards, he continued his coaching career at Chemik Police in Poland (2018), Nilufer in Turkiye (2019), Turkiye Airways (2019) and Stuttgart in Germany (2021-2022), and this year he will make a new start in the Korean V-League.
Bragagni Trainer’s resume is brilliant. Born in 1972, he served as an assistant coach and physical coach in Italy from 2003 to 2013. In 2013 he moved to Turkiye and spent 4 seasons with Fenerbahçe. He continued his career as a physical coach at Turkiye Airways, where he had been coached by Avon Danza the previous season as well. He also coached the Italian and Bulgarian women’s volleyball teams and the Danish men’s volleyball team.
Both of them have a deep relationship with director Abondanza. He has teamed up with several teams in Italy, Turkiye League and more.토토사이트
An official from the club said, “In Europe, a training method has been established that maximizes the expertise of each volleyball and physical fitness staff by dividing them into fields. We want to incorporate an advanced European system that can enhance the capabilities of players by classifying training parts in detail. In addition, by recruiting a foreign coach, we will give strength to Abondanza’s season plan.”
Meanwhile, Heungkuk Life Insurance conducted the first round of training before the tryout for foreign players in early May. This is because coach Abondanza wanted to check players who had few chances to play. After about a month of rest, we will start preparing for the season again from mid-June.
