The court sentenced a CEO in his 50s to a suspended prison sentence after being sent to trial on charges of forcibly molesting the company’s teenage female accounting clerk안전놀이터 several times over a period of three months.
According to the legal community on the 9th, Chief Judge Kim Do-hyeong of the Wonju Branch Criminal Division 1 of the Chuncheon District Court sentenced Mr. A (57, male), who was indicted on charges of forcible harassment, to one year in prison and two years of probation. He was also ordered to attend a 40-hour sexual violence treatment program.
Mr. A, the CEO of the parent company, was indicted on charges of forcibly assaulting the company’s accounting clerk, Ms. B (19), who was sitting in the passenger seat, while driving a car on a highway heading from Wonju, Gangwon Province, to Chuncheon on September 14th last year.
At the time, Mr. A was accused of molesting Ms. B by saying that she “looked like she was traveling with her daughter” and placing his hand on her thigh.
Around the 26th of the same month, at a rest area in Gyeonggi-do, she asked, “Do father and daughter walk like this?” She was also accused of crossing Ms. B’s arms and touching her buttocks as if hitting her. She is also accused of molesting Ms. B by sitting her on her lap at her company in Wonju on or about October 27 of the same year.
Mr. A appeared in court on charges of molesting Ms. B a total of 9 times using various methods until around January 9th of this year.
Chief Judge Kim said, “The defendant committed a crime against the victim, who was his employee, over a long period of time. The degree of damage is also not light. However, after the conclusion of arguments in this case, civil and criminal agreements were reached with the victim, and the victim petitioned for leniency from the defendant. “The sentence was determined taking into account the fact that the defendant was a first-time offender,” the ruling ruled.
