As the 2023 KOVO Asia Quarter foreign player tryout schedule and participating players were confirmed, the men’s and women’s clubs became busy.

First of all, the men’s team will have a tryout at Jeju Halla Gymnasium for 2 nights and 3 days from April 25th to 27th. There are 32 men’s athletes participating, including 9 from Taiwan, 7 from Indonesia, 4 from Mongolia, 4 from the Philippines, 카지노사이트 3 from Japan, 3 from Malaysia, 1 from Hong Kong, and 1 from Thailand.

By position, there are 23 opponent spikers and outside hitters, 6 middle blockers, 2 liberos and 1 setter.

The main players who made the men’s Asian Quarter tryout happen are Mongolian Inha University graduate Bayar Saihan (MB/197cm) and Sungkyunkwan University student Eddy (OH/198cm). The chances of selection for both players are very high. Issey Otake (OP/202cm) of Panasonic, a Japanese professional team, also submitted an application. On top of that, the 7 Indonesians have considerable competitiveness in volleyball sense and skill. The selected players are expected to give a fresh shock to the domestic league.

In the women’s division, since most of the players overlap with international competitions or national team schedules, a non-face-to-face draft will be held on April 21 at the Grand Ballroom of the Stanford Hotel in Sangam-dong, Seoul.

24 people applied for the women’s division. Thailand has the most (8), followed by the Philippines (6), Japan (3), Indonesia (3), Taiwan (2) and Hong Kong (2). In terms of positions, there are 11 opponents and outside hitters, 5 middle blockers, 3 liberos and 5 setters.

The player who catches the eye is definitely Fontun Gedpard. As the main setter for the Thai national team, he coordinated the national team’s heyday after Nutsara. Last year, in the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) and World Championship, Ponpun orchestrated the match when Korea was defeated 3-0.

The team with Ponpun Setter is expected to show good performance as time goes on, although breathing problems are the key in the early stages. She is good at set plays and quick toss. Soraya Pomra is also a setter with a variety of careers, so good performance is expected in the domestic professional team.

Players selected in this Asian quarter tryout receive an annual salary of $100,000 for both men and women. Since the amount includes tax, the amount of money in your hand is much less. Renewal is possible without restrictions.

This year, it was decided to select players with equal probability to establish fairness between clubs when selecting players. Next season, the salary of Asian quarter players is also expected to increase significantly.
