Irish golf legend Padrig Harrington (51) showed his respect for Tiger Woods (USA) who is participating in the PNC Championship, an event on the PGA Tour.

Harrington (Ireland) predicted at an official press conference held on the 16th (hereafter local time) the day before the opening of the PNC Championship, “Woods will be able to win again in major tournaments.”

The PNC Championship is a family golf tournament, a 36-hole event where players team up with their parents or children to play. It will be held at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club (par 72) in Orlando, Florida, USA for two days starting on the 17th (local time).

Woods participates in this competition with his son, Charlie Woods, for the third consecutive year since 2020. Harrington also joins his son, Patrick Harrington.

Although it is an event competition, the PNC Championship is a meaningful stage for Woods and his son. After Woods suffered a major car accident in February last year in which the vehicle overturned, he devoted himself to rehabilitation and treatment for 10 months and returned to the field through the 2021 PNC Championship.

Woods has competed in the Masters, PGA Championship, and Open on the PGA Tour this year. Although his performance was not so good, he was able to overcome the accident and compete again, which was a great achievement.

“I never question Woods’ mentality,” Harrington said. 토토

Stewart Sink (49), a veteran of the American golf world, also expressed anticipation, saying, “Woods’ swing is almost the same as before the accident.”

Meanwhile, Woods, who took a break for about 5 months after the Open, will appear in front of fans for two weeks in a row following ‘The Match’ held on the 11th.

Currently, with 82 wins on the PGA Tour, he tied another ‘legend’, Sam Sneed (USA), for the most wins, and he can set a single record for the most wins with just one more win in the next season.
